Overview
Kafka is a distributed pub/sub solution built for streaming messages within a private network (intranet). It enables event-driven communication between various backend components.
The Ably Kafka Connector provides a ready-made integration between Kafka and Ably. It allows for realtime event distribution from Kafka to web, mobile, and IoT clients, over Ably’s feature-rich, multi-protocol pub/sub channels.
You can use the Ably Kafka Connector to send data from one or more Kafka topics into Ably channels. Note, publishing to external streams or queues is part of our Ably Firehose service which is only available to Enterprise customers.
